You're a new firm. Why should I trust you with this?

We won't pretend otherwise. What's the catch with the free technical health check?

There isn't one. Send us a link or a description of the system, we spend real time on it, and you get a specific, usable writeup back, whether or not you ever hire us. It costs us time, not you money, and it's the fastest way for both sides to find out if we're a fit.

How is this different from hiring a freelancer?

Accepted Answer

A freelancer is one person, availability-constrained, with no second set of eyes on their own work. We're small on purpose, not because we couldn't find more people, but a freelancer's biggest risk (no accountability partner, no coverage if something happens) is exactly what we've structured around.

How is this different from a traditional dev agency?

Accepted Answer

Traditional agencies price in account management, sales layers, and bench utilization, none of which touches your actual code. We don't carry that overhead, so the same budget buys more direct engineering time and fewer people between you and the work.

Do you only do AI stuff?

Accepted Answer

No. AI integration is one of four service lines, and it's the one we're most careful about, since it's also the easiest to oversell. Most of our work is web development, legacy modernization, and technical consulting, all without an AI feature attached.

What if my project doesn't fit neatly into one service line?

That's the normal case, not the exception. Most real projects touch two or three of our four lines at once. Tell us what you're actually dealing with and we'll scope it as one engagement, not force it into a category.

A short scoping conversation first, no cost, no obligation. If it's a fit, we send a fixed-scope proposal so you know what you're getting before anything starts. No open-ended hourly retainer with no end in sight.

I've gotten wildly different quotes for what sounds like the same project. Why?

Accepted Answer

Because most quotes are guesses made without seeing the actual code or content, so they range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands for what sounds like the same request. We quote after actually looking at what you have, not from a generic project description, which is exactly what the free health check is for.

What if you disappear after I pay, or I can't reach you?

Accepted Answer

You get direct access to whoever's doing the work, not a shared inbox. You also get your own logins and access to everything built, from day one, not held back as leverage. If we ever became unreachable, you'd still own and control everything, which is not true with every shop.
